Short description
This is a presentation style class geared towards any video producer or film maker. The flow of the class will include question and answer opportunities throughout, covering real life scenarios such as:
Where does dialogue fall in the hz range?
How do I remove low end frequency from my recording?
When is it best to pull sound from an audio board?
What is scratch audio and when should I use it?
When should I use a shotgun mic vs a lavalier?
What decibel (dB) level should I maintain for dialogue and music?
Is music selection really that important?
Class size: 8 - 10
Cost: $30 for non FCPM members, $15 for FCPM members, FREE for Producer Level members
Instructor, Chris Winslow
Chris is a Video Producer and Lead Technician for the City of Fort Collins. His work includes live television broadcasting and streaming of multi-camera productions, as well as custom content creation in a variety of formats. He’s been a musician (percussionist) for the past 40 years and a video producer for the past 12 years.
His love of music and photography led him to pursue a self-designed interdisciplinary degree in “Marketing / Photography”. He focused on the fundamentals of image capturing and storytelling, incorporating messaging that highlighted societal trends and personal relationships.
Chris is a long time member of Fort Collins Public Media, and credits the organization for helping enrich his skills, helping him create the unique career path he has today. This class is one way he can give back and pay it forward to other budding filmmakers.
