Ichabod considers himself a reasonable man, there are no such things as witches, the howling sound he hears must be the wind, that eerie moaning sound can’t be a ghost . . . Right? Competing for the hand of Katrina Van Tassel; a hard impressed young woman, against the frightfully mischievous; Brom Bones, Ichabod begins to gain the disfavor of the town as he continuously denies the existence of any “Headless Horseman.”

This October, join Debut Theatre Company in the retelling of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," a story for laughs, for fall festivities, and for a specter which holds all powers of the night. A trick and treat for the whole family!

Along the river Hudson lies a place so quiet, so still, where dreams and stories weave like mist before the half-shut eye: Sleepy Hollow. The area abounds with local tales of ghosts and spirits that roam the glade. Most residents believe and respect such myths, all but one, the new school master; Ichabod Crane. But there is one ghost who may be more than a story...the Headless Horseman! Will Ichabod believe, or might the next Halloween be his last?

Debut Staff got a first look at the Debut Arts Centre! After a tour of the space (so much space!) we got down to business planning out the semester and the big move into our new home. Classes will move over to the building mid-semester!
