This man, Craig Singleton, told congress that DJI drones have advanced facial recognition capabilities and have remote sensors that can read a person’s heartbeat. What has this man been smoking? He knows good and well that is a lie and is feeding congress with misinformation in order to get DJI drones banned.

Let’s play a game and assume all of the people in Washington D.C.—as well as an increasing number of state legislators—are right, and the Chinese Communist Party has full access to all of the servers that store DJI customer data.

A response from DJI to Congress regarding an outright ban on DJI drones:

“Congress should not base drone policymaking on fear-mongering statements that have no basis in fact, especially not while ignoring the evidence and the real-world impact and stories of those who would be hurt by the Countering CCP Drones Act. Forging ahead with this bill in the face of its very clear and dire consequences, just because of the drones’ country of manufacture, is nothing more than geopolitically-driven xenophobia.”
