✨ Living in Arkansas for a year was a blessing low key…it really taught me to enjoy everything the natural state has to offer.

I lived in Little Rock, Arkansas (the capital) and I honestly can say for such a fast moving east coaster who knew nothing about the state (except The Little Rock Nine & Bill Clinton ), I most certainly enjoyed the serenity of this state’s nature.

It’s also where Amber Sandiego, my blog, was created. What I thought was a little escape from an ending relationship ended up really being a huge blessing as I continued my passion for travel & good cuisine. 😌


📌Did you know The Junction Bridge rests on top of ”the Little Rock” and was used as territorial passing for Native Americans & settlers? They had been there thousands of years before Europeans due to available archeological evidence right here in this very city. Also, The Arkansas River was used by early river traffic as a landmark and became a famous river crossing of that era in the 1880s. The history in that state is intriguing and insane.

✨ I enjoyed living downtown around everything because I’m still a city girl, but I definitely can say I miss random walks to the bridges, markets, museums & libraries around town. I also miss the friends I’ve made along the way. Will definitely post more food content there soon because baby that state can eat! Time to make my return trip!
