Thank you FLOW Film Festival and Market for awarding BOXED Best Of Florida Short Film. On behalf of my cast and crew, we thank you very much for this award. It took a village to make such a film. To date, BOXED has been officially selected in 16 film festivals world-wide, and won globally 15 awards.

BOXED is an official selection at the with screenings at the Savor Cinema in Fort Lauderdale running May 24 thru 29. BOXED will screen on May 25th. Shemesh Films is indebted to the entire cast and crew for making such an impactful film filled with humanity and dignity.

What a night! Thank you , and for choosing BOXED as Best Local Florida Short Film 2021. Your festival is full of heart and soul! And then there’s these amazing parties you host! I have to mention by bad ass to the bone, Director, who knows a thing or two behind the lens. Saturday at noon tomorrow, I am in veiling to working poster for our new film ESCAPE, production. So much more is going on behind the scenes as we get ready to share the continuation story of our multi award-winning short film BOXED.

Alyn Darnay, Director of BOXED and I have an update in the coming days of our new film, ESCAPE. Another SAG-AFTRA Holocaust film, the mid-quel to BOXED. A deep, cinematic fictional story set in the death camp of Auschwitz. A difficult genre, but highly necessary. I can’t wait to share more.

This is a movie still of me from my film BOXED depicting the character I portrayed, a Holocaust survivor. The number on my forearm, a simulated tattoo re-created by our amazing MUA . The number is real and may have belonged to a relative of our lead actor Avi Hoffman. With utter sensitivity wearing it, we send a message. My production company, Shemesh Films completely condemns antisemitism and supports the Jewish people, by making these films, in honor and memory of the 6 million who lost their lives from the hatred of those who thought they could break us.

BOXED is California bound as official selection at the festival this September. The film has also placed as a semi-finalist at the prestigious .riiff. Feeling the love for this unique short film. And, as I’m sure you know by now, ESCAPE, the next part to BOXED is in full blown pre-production. Stay tuned with details on this next film, which ups’ the production value, the stakes are higher, and it’s going to be quite an emotional ride, for sure.
