I have seen this city and it many changes. There are some very big changes coming to all of Florida. A rethinking of how we get from place to place within our city. Fort Lauderdale will soon see construction of a new Intermodal Center (IMC) in downtown. IMC will connect traveler's to buses, The Wave Streetcar and All Aboard Florida passenger rail as well as Tri-Rail Coastal Link. The city has intr

oduced Transit Oriented Development guideline's to help guide growth in it's core. The Art's and Entertainment district in Downtown connected by Riverwalk park is also growing at a rapid pace. This page is a platform for us all to connect and share ideas about our great city's direction.

Here is today's hot ticket discussion for our city commissioner's. The Las Olas Boulevard Proposed Rededesign for the Western Corridor.

Will they or won't they remove the black olive trees in the center median from the Himmarshee Canal westward to near the tunnel top plaza? It's today's great debate. This would take years to implement. Personally I think the street should be closed to vehicular traffic but I don't know if that is something that could even happen. What do you all think?

Welcome everyone to my URBNPLANR REBOOT. It's been a long time coming but here I am. Fresh new start and a new perspective. Full circle moment 13 Year Anniversary just passed on August 6, 2025. Last year I was calling it quits and I was doing my farewell tour and here we are today I'm sitting on my porch watching the City of Fort Lauderdale grow.

It's interesting I spent being years involved with the development of the city. All of the suggestions and ideas I shared in the development process it's nice to see them and experience them firsthand as a pedestrian. Now my fresh new perspective may not always be the best. These are my observations as someone who has a dog and lives in the Flagler Village neighborhood downtown. Looking forward to sharing... Stay tuned. Meanwhile check out a couple of these choice shots for my first 2 months here in the neighborhood.
