Don't forget to tune in this Saturday to Emeril's Florida at 2:30p on the Cooking Channel! This week we indulge in the BEST sushi and saké (don't judge), mouth watering steaks and deliciously HEALTHY Cuban food! Yea... I said it... HEALTHY Cuban food :)

Fun facts of the week:
-Most people believe that saké is supposed to be served warm...however, advances in brewing technology have led to saké flavor profiles that are DESTROYED by heat. Nowadays, most premium sake tastes best when slightly chilled. If sake is too chilled, however, many of its flavor components are masked, just as a wine's would be. Pair some cool sake with the delicious "So Fresh and So Clean Roll" from Sushimoto and you have yourself a good time.

-Dry aging... ooooh beautiful, delicious dry aging....this is the process by which large cuts of beef are aged for anywhere from several weeks to several months before being trimmed and cut into steaks. It not only helps the steak develop flavor, but it also makes it far more tender than it would be completely fresh. It's also a process that Ockeechobee steakhouse has absolutely perfected!

So, now that you've slept in on this beautiful Saturday morning... why not roll outta bed and check out Emeril's Florida on the Cooking Channel at 2:30p? This week we swing through St Petersburg and Tarpon Springs! Wanna sound smarter than your friends? Here's some fun facts for you:

- Known for its sponge docks and named for the Tarpon that literally jump out of the water, Tarpon Springs has the largest Greek population of any other city in the United States! Thats a whole lotta homemade Spanikopita!
- St. Petersburg holds the Guinness world record for most consecutive days of sunshine (361 days) - giving it the nickname "Sunshine City". Bring on the SPF 50!
- Peter Demens, Co-Founder of St. Petersburg got to name the city after winning a coin toss bet... (Thats one heck of an ego!).
