SEP(special enrollment period) for individuals and families who are making 150% or less of the federal poverty line. The special enrollment. Is indefinite for those who qualify. It is a great opportunity to get better coverage than your current plan may have.
I have seen many clients who have had bronze plans, which is OK because they are better than no insurance, but those plans have high co-pays. They have high deductibles and high max out-of-pocket expenses.
Anyone who qualifies for this special enrollment. Most likely will qualify for cost-sharing, which is available on silver plans. Only these plans give you a zero dollar coinsurance when you see your primary care provider, there is no co-pay for tier one drugs, $10 for a specialist, And these plans also pay upwards of 65% towards major services, such as emergency room visits, ambulance, etc.

Oops! You missed open enrollment and would like to enroll in low or no cost health insurance. There may still be some options available you could qualify for a special enrollment period. Qualifying life events, such as getting married, a change in household income, the birth of a child, and circumstances can trigger a 60 day special enrollment.

Also the special enrollment. For individuals and families that are making less than 150% of the federal poverty line qualify for a special enrollment period now indefinitely due to a law that was signed last April.

I still have around 100 clients who haven't renewed their health insurance for 2025, and I need to get in touch with them. To have coverage starting January 1st, renewals must be completed by December 15th. I will be making calls over the next few days, so if you haven’t done so yet, please call me at your convenience or answer when I reach out. It only takes a few minutes, and I’ll ensure your application is up to date, helping you get the best options for 2025.

While most of my clients have auto-renewals set up, be aware that some plans cannot be automatically renewed, and others may have increased in cost. Auto-renewals happen after December 15th, so your coverage might not begin until February 1st. If you have appointments in January, this delay will not work for you.

The 1095A tax documents are typically sent out by the marketplace in January, but I can also send them electronically for anyone planning to file their taxes early.

A monthly Special Enrollment Period (SEP) will continue through 2025 for individuals and families earning less than 150% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). If you know anyone without health insurance who needs assistance, please refer them to me.

We are in full swing and doing what we do best! Please refer us when you can. There are many people out there who are frustrated with their current health plan, its service, and the carriers.
