Do you have school spirit, a positive attitude, and a desire to be part of something bigger than yourself? Join the Brush Beetdigger Cheerleading Program!
Cheerleading tryouts are open to all students entering 6th–12th grade at Brush Secondary Campus (Homeschool) who are interested in representing Brush Middle School and Brush High School as a Brush Beetdigger Cheerleader.
Our program is built on teamwork, leadership, character, and school pride. We are looking for student-athletes who are willing to work hard, encourage others, and serve as positive role models both on and off the sidelines. Whether you are an experienced cheerleader, dancer, or trying out for the very first time — we encourage you to come showcase your enthusiasm, dedication, and Beetdigger spirit and pride!
Tryouts At-a-Glance:
Open To: Students entering Grades 6–12
Important Requirements
Sports Physical — Required Before Tryouts Begin
All students must have a current sports physical on file in the Student Activities Office before the first day of tryouts (June 22nd). Please plan ahead — do not wait until the last minute, bring them to the Main Office Today!
Physicals must be valid through at least June 26, 2026 for tryouts.
Must be completed on the official CHSAA form with PG4 completely filled out and signed.
The official CHSAA Physical Form (https://chsaanow.com/sports/2021/7/22/smac.aspx) is available in both English and Español. Turn ALL physicals into the office prior to tryouts.
• Try-outs are closed to friends and family. This is to ensure that the participants are not intimidated by a crowd and to keep the process running quickly. Only those participating in try-outs will be allowed in the gym.
• All participants will be given a try-out number at random. As a group the participants will perform the 3 cheers, and the dance that they learned at clinics in front of our judge/judges. They will then be dismissed and come back in as groups of 2 or 3. At this time the participants will perform the 3 cheers and dance together. Then one at a time you will be asked to perform a jump sequence and asked to do a specialty if you have one. This can include tumbling (running or standing) leaps, other jumps etc. This is something special that you have! This is your time to shine!
• If need be, our judge(s) may ask to see you try-out again or with a different group of girls!
• You are not dismissed from tryouts until coaches tell you that you are allowed to leave!
ATTIRE FOR TRY-OUTS:
On Friday, June 26th, please wear a white shirt with no writing on it, black shorts, and athletic tennis shoes. Please have hair in a fully pony tail with bangs back out of your face. You may wear a bow if would like to. If wearing make-up please be sure that it is performance ready! Please no bright colors (blue, green, purple, etc).
