BREAKING: YOU WILL HAVE 5 DAYS TO DECIDE

Tomorrow the Fort Myers Beach Town Council will vote on an emergency resolution giving residents interested in putting their name on the recall ballot details about when to qualify. The qualifying period will open Monday, September 15th at 9AM and close Tuesday, September 16th at 5PM.

The election to recall John King and Karen Woodson will be paid for by Fort Myers Beach taxpayers, adminstered by the Lee County Elections Office, and held at Bay Oaks on November 4th. Anyone interested in qualifying can contact the elections office qualifying department at (239) 533-8683. If this is like most other elections, you must be a resident for one year to be eligible to run, but nothing about this has been similar to any other election.
