Happy International Wheelchair Day ♿️✨

This chair?
It’s not what holds me back.
It’s what moves me forward.

It’s my independence.
My freedom.
My set of wheels that lets me travel, speak on stages, and live a very full life.

People sometimes say, “I’m sorry you’re in a wheelchair.”

I’m not.

Without this chair, I’d be stuck.
With it? I’m able to live a meaningful life. It probably has better horsepower than your car. 😌

22 years ago, I thought my wheelchair represented what I lost.
Now I know it represents everything I’ve built.

Do I wish I could walk and live a life without the wheelchair, absolutely! Until that time comes, I am forever grateful for these wheels that let me roll through life!

I’m not confined.
I’m equipped to rock & ROLL through this beautiful life! 💗♿️
