To the people of Kentucky who have been affected by the devastating floods:
Please know that you are not facing this hardship alone. Across the Commonwealth, neighbors, friends, churches, community organizations, and complete strangers are standing with you during this difficult time. While floodwaters may have damaged homes, roads, and possessions, they cannot wash away the strength, resilience, and determination that Kentucky communities have demonstrated time and time again.
In moments when the road ahead feels overwhelming, take one step at a time. Every day brings new opportunities for healing, rebuilding, and hope. Lean on those around you, accept help when it is offered, and remember that recovery is a journey that no one is expected to walk alone.
The spirit of Kentucky has always been defined by compassion, perseverance, and faith. Even in the darkest moments, hope remains. Better days are ahead, and together we will rebuild stronger than before.
A prayer for everyone:
Heavenly Father,
We lift up the people of Kentucky who have been impacted by flooding. We pray for families who have lost homes, possessions, and cherished memories. Surround them with Your comfort, peace, and strength during this challenging time.
Lord, protect those who are still in danger and watch over the first responders, volunteers, utilized workers, and all who are helping with rescue and recovery efforts. Give them wisdom, endurance, and safety as they serve their communities.
Bring hope to those who feel discouraged, courage to those facing uncertainty, and healing to those who are hurting. Help neighbors support one another with kindness, generosity, and compassion.
Provide for every need, shelter for the displaced, food for the hungry, comfort for the grieving, and resources for rebuilding. May Your presence be felt in every act of service, every helping hand, and every work of encouragement.
We pray that these communities will find renewed strength and that brighter days will come soon. Let faith overcome fear, hope overcome despair, and love unite all those affect.
In Your holy name we pray,
Amen
Sending love, hope and prayers
