We’ve built a new home for Bass of the Week features that Kevin Johnson has been curating for 15 years. This site makes it easier to dig through rare vintage pieces, wild custom builds, one offs, unusual designs, and incredible basses from small builders around the world. Search the archive by builder, year, string count, and more, or just hit Surprise Me and see what turns up.

There are hundreds of basses in there already and the archive will keep growing as new features are published.
