A published book still needs a path to the reader.
That path starts with positioning.
Not just “What genre is it?”
Not just “Is it on Amazon?”
Not just “Did we launch it?”
Positioning means thinking clearly about where the book belongs, who needs to see it, how they’ll find it, and how they’ll actually get it.
Amazon is useful, but it’s still just one bookshelf.
Books can also move through libraries, retailers, boutique stores, direct sales, partnerships, premium placements, and other channels when the strategy makes sense for the book.
That’s why discoverability has to be planned before and after publication because the real problem isn’t always the book. Sometimes the book simply hasn’t been placed where the right reader can find it.
