Princess Leia, a beautiful Siberian Husky, found her forever home just in time for Christmas. Rescued by Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control, Princess Leia’s future looked uncertain until Jeremy and Tabitha LaRue stepped in with open hearts and adopted her. On Christmas Eve, Jessica DiPace from Animal Control delivered Princess Leia to her new family, ensuring the sweet dog would not spend Christmas alone in a kennel. This joyful adoption story is a shining example of the love and compassion that make Christmas in Okeechobee so special, reminding us all of the difference we can make for animals in need.
