Follow Snow White’s journey as she escapes the Evil Queen’s castle, traverses the darkness and meets the Dwarves, who aid her in her adventure. A Midsummer Night's Dream journeys into the fairy forest where the course of love does not run smooth as Shakespeare’s beloved comedy unfolds to Felix Mendelssohn’s iconic score. The ballet tells the tale of feuding fairy royalty, a quartet of magically confused human lovers, ragtag traveling theatre troupe and an impish mischief-maker named Puck. The cast of local children is joined by Nicholas C. Mesa, professional dancer, from Yuma, Arizona. Get your tickets today! Snow White and A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be held at the ArcBest Corporation Performing Arts Center, 55 S. 7th Street, Fort Smith, on Saturday, May 2 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 3 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $35 for adults and $20 for children through University with a student I.D. and are available online at www.waballet.org or at Western Arkansas Ballet, 4701 Grand Avenue, Fort Smith.

Institute for the Creative Arts announces the musical theatre production of Sister Act presented by the theatre company at the Institute for the Creative Arts Performing & Visual Arts High School.

Sister Act is a high-energy musical comedy about Deloris Van Cartier, a lively nightclub singer who witnesses a crime and is placed into witness protection—inside a convent! Disguised as a nun, Deloris struggles to fit into the quiet, rule-bound life of the church.

When she’s assigned to help with the convent’s failing choir, Deloris transforms the group into a joyful, soulful, and powerful ensemble using her own musical style. As the choir’s popularity grows, so does Deloris’s confidence—and the attention of the criminals she’s hiding from.

Through friendship, music, and unexpected sisterhood, Deloris and the nuns discover their own voices and learn that faith, courage, and unity can come from the most surprising places.

Filled with disco-inspired songs, big dance numbers, and heartfelt moments, Sister Act is a feel-good story about belonging, self-discovery, and finding family where you least expect it.
