Everyone please join me in wishing baby boy(aka Lil Southern Novelscents) a very Happy 20th Birthday!!!🥳🥳🥳

As you all know, each birthday has a way of getting to me. Well, this one proved no different. See I realized I no longer have any babies, any adolescents, and now... I am no longer a mother to teenagers. I still can't quite seem to wrap my head around that fact. My baby boy is grown.😭😭

I know it seems silly for me to feel this way, but I think I figured out why it effects me so much. With every year and every milestone, a piece of my heart goes with them... and I know without a single doubt, that will never change.

I recently saw a quote... "It's funny how people think life will get easier once your children are grown,❤️ this is where your knees meet the pavement". Not sure I have ever read a more true statement.🙏🙏

To my schmoopie... I love you more than you will ever know. Everyday you make me smile, and to say we are proud of the man you have become feels understated. You are loving, kind, caring, and trustworthy. You are smart, hardworking, dependable and focused. You love the lord and you love your family. You would do anything to help those you love. Most importantly, you know to not take yourself or this life too seriously; making you capable of finding joy in every aspect of your life. I love this about you.🥰 You motivate me more than you know.
