Gulfarium is deeply saddened to share the passing of Delilah, one of the most iconic and beloved dolphins to have ever called the park home. Delilah leaves behind a lasting legacy that touched the lives of generations of guests and staff. She arrived at the Gulfarium in 1980 and lived to be over 50 years old—a remarkable milestone, especially given that dolphins in the wild typically live between 20 and 30 years.

Delilah passed away peacefully of natural causes, surrounded by the animal care team who had formed lifelong bonds with her. A devoted mother to Lily and grandmother to Kaya, she played a meaningful role within our dolphin family and contributed greatly to our educational mission.

Throughout her decades at the Gulfarium, Delilah brought joy, wonder, and inspiration to millions of visitors. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

We are grateful for the support of our community as we honor Delilah’s life and invite everyone to reflect on the joy she brought to so many.

DESANTIS SIGNS BILL IN WALTON COUNTY: Governor Ron DeSantis signed legislation Tuesday morning related to Customary Use. DeSantis signed Senate Bill 1622 at Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar in Santa Rosa Beach, surrounded by state legislators and local officials who championed the measure.

“Senate Bill 1622 will repeal the burdensome state mandates and return decision making power to local governments when it comes to recognizing recreational customary use of beaches,” DeSantis said during the signing ceremony.

The legislation repeals a 2018 law that prohibited local governments from affirming public recreational use of dry sand areas on private beaches without first going through a complex and costly judicial process. That law particularly affected Walton County, which had adopted a customary use ordinance in October 2016, just months after the state’s cutoff date.

“Back in 2018, when the state passed a law that blocked local governments from recognizing customary use of beaches, no one felt that impact more severely than Walton County,” said Senator Jay Trumbull, who sponsored the legislation. “Overnight, people who had walked the same stretch of beach for generations were being told that they were trespassing.”

🚨 Please share & help with resources. 🚨

The search for 10 year old Trinity Eslinger continues as local authorities, volunteers, and the United Cajun Navy work tirelessly to bring her home. Trinity has been missing for six days, since Thursday, June 12, 2025, when she was last seen in the water between O’Steen Beach and Norriego Point in Destin, Florida, around 7:30 p.m. She was swept away by a strong current while swimming during a family vacation.

Trinity’s mother, Raven Cush, shared a heartfelt plea today, June 18, 2025, urging the community to help: “I am hopeful that today will be the day. Let’s get the word out there. Call on all your boating friends & family anyone who can get in the water today please I’m begging you please come out and help. All I want is to bring my Trinity home. The more eyes we have the better. Share it spread the word. Her name is Trinity Lo’Réal Eslinger and she is my world! Trinity is wearing a pink bathing suit with orange trimming, same one as in Picture. Her hair is cornrowed straight back with colorful beads. She had on snorkeling gear when she went missing. Goggles are gray and purple. Snorkel is gray with a bright orange piece at the top. She had on two stretchy bracelets one was pink and the other was purple. She is about 5 ft tall. 🙏🏾 Mark 11:24 ‘Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.’”

Multiple agencies, including the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Coast Guard, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and Destin Fire Rescue, are involved in the search, using boats, divers, drones, and aircraft. The effort has been described as intensive, with operations ongoing in the Destin East Pass and surrounding areas. Despite the challenges posed by strong currents and Mother Nature, the community and responders remain dedicated to finding Trinity.
