We have been known to use your contributions on this page in our print edition Wednesday and Saturday. Destin, often referred to as the crown jewel of the Emerald Coast in Florida’s Panhandle, is known as a world-class tourism destination and fishing community. In fact, the city’s nickname is “The World’s Luckiest Fishing Village,” and The Destin Log’s nautical name reflects that. The Log began in

1974 as something of a newsletter published in a garage. Since then it has grown into an award-winning, twice weekly newspaper that does it daily on its website thedestinlog.com and instantly on its page. With an online audience that draws readers from throughout the Southeast, the staff prides itself on being the paper of record for locals and a reflection of our piece of paradise to the outside world. The Log enjoys a loyal readership from locals, summer tourists, vacation homeowners and winter Snowbirds, many who receive The Log by mail. On Saturdays, The Destin Log is the go-to place for real estate news and also distributes up to 1,700 newspapers to hotel and condo visitors. The Log guarantees advertisers a unique readership no other media can deliver — and it’s the fish wrapper of choice for area fishermen.
