As of 3:00 PM today, Navarre Beach Fire Rescue District Fire Station 49 has been evacuated and is UNSTAFFED. There are NO firefighters or emergency personnel remaining at the station. Do NOT report to Station 49 seeking shelter or medical assistance. In coordination with Santa Rosa County Emergency Management, all apparatus and personnel have relocated off-island to preserve frontline life-safety assets from life-threatening saltwater storm surge.

Hurricane Isaias is a Major Category 3 hurricane (120 mph winds) 145 miles south of Pensacola with landfall expected this evening. 6-9 feet of storm surge possible along portions of the Emerald Coast. Tornado threats will start this afternoon. Tropical storm conditions begin now. Hurricane preparations should be completed within the next few hours. 4am Friday update: Hurricane and Storm Surge Warnings in effect for our area as Hurricane Isaias continues to gradually strengthen and is expected to be a major category 3 hurricane, with slight weakening expected before landfall. A turn to the north is expected later today. Maximum sustained winds have increased to 110 mph
