Meet the Doulas is just one week away!

Join us October 21 at 6PM to Meet the Doulas!

This quarterly event is hosted by the Doula Network of Fort Wayne, and open to any family planning to give birth in Northeast Indiana! This is a wonderful opportunity to chat with multiple doulas one-on-one and to learn which doula might be the right fit for your unique desires and goals, both during your birth and the postpartum period.

We have also invited Justine Shirley of Babywearers of Northeast Indiana (BWNI) to attend to give families the opportunity to learn about babywearing throughout the evening, and Camille of La Leche League will be there to introduce families to local breastfeeding support groups!

It’s National Midwifery Week!

With the ACNM, we’re celebrating the incredible Certified Nurse Midwives who shape birth culture with wisdom, compassion, and skill. Doulas and midwives partner together to support and honor families through every stage of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. It is such an honor to work alongside CNMs!

The Doula Network of Fort Wayne was so humbled to participate in the Walk to Remember this afternoon. As we walk alongside families in the midst of loss, we honor the babies who never get to walk with us.

Tomorrow, the Doula Network of Fort Wayne will be at the Walk to Remember at Huntertown Family Park.

This annual event is a tender and beautiful way to honor the babies who are no longer with us on earth. Whether you’ve experienced loss yourself or want to walk in support of others, you’re welcome here.

We’ll have a table set up from 10AM and would love for you to stop by. Together, we remember, we honor, and we walk the steps they will never walk.

Like birth, every breastfeeding relationship is a new beginning. Even when you've breastfed babies in the past, you've never breastfed this baby, and it's okay to feel like you're a beginner again. Support and education make a difference at each stage in growing a family.

This World Breastfeeding Week, we especially highlight the unexpected turns breastfeeding can take. While doulas don't diagnose tongue ties or provide treatment plans for babies who need specialized care, we do come alongside families navigating breastfeeding challenges and provide evidence-based information and intentional support.
