Joel Gragg & The Filaments’ self-titled full length album is released today! 43 minutes of fuzzy goodness, tracked and mixed here at Cellar Door Recording Co. Give it a listen!
Well, Gang, the day has arrived. Our first self-titled 10-song album is out in the world today on all the Streamers! It's been a journey that started in March of 2024 with the original guys I started this band with in 2022 (Jamie Perryman and Bruce Williams). We are also playing two shows in the Springfield area this weekend, which we started in, Sep 13th from 8-11pm, and the 30th Annual Penny Lane Festival in Duncan Park.
I want to thank some people for without them, this album might not have come to fruition in the way it has. First off, my brothers Jamie and Bruce, since the first time we played together, there was some a vibe and a magic, thank you for sharing that with me. I'd also like to thank Mike Arango of Cellar Door Recording Co in Ft Wayne, IN. Throughout the whole process, it was like having another member of the band. Thank you so much for all you sonically helped us to cover. And all the other beautiful friends and musicians who shared their gifts on this album.
Reeves - Keys, Background Vocals
Foxxy - Amazing Background Vocals
Brandon Santini - Badass Harmonica extraordinaire, on one of my favorite tunes, "Hanging Out To Dry"
Wayne Davis - All the Funky Funky percussion.
Ruemmele - The Graphic Design
Janicke of Infrasonic Sound - Mastering
I'd also like to thank the musicians I've started playing for shows in Indianapolis and other areas that Jamie and Bruce can't make.
Greg Ziesmer - Bass
Kurt Kruger - Drums
Greg Brown - Sax
I'm very proud of our work, and I think it speaks for itself. Please take a listen and share!
I do have a limited run of physical CDs available for $10. Message me if interested.
There will also be a limited run of Vinyl, and a big show for that later this Fall. Hit me up if you'd like to pre-order one!
