So... I finished staining my deck and realized I needed more stain. 😬
Cost of more stain: $180

My reaction: No problem! Let me go do some mystery shops. 😂

On my day off from my regular job, I completed a few mystery shopping assignments and made $150. Not bad for checking out businesses, evaluating customer service, and getting paid for it.

That's one of the things I love about mystery shopping—it helps cover those unexpected expenses without dipping into the household budget.

I've recently started mystery shopping and have had the opportunity to visit all kinds of businesses and attractions. Depending on the assignment, shops may include:

🛍️ Retail Stores

Many assignments include a shopper fee, reimbursement, or free admission.
