Today's Grief Mantra
For overwhelming waves of grief:

"This pain is real, but it will not drown me. I can feel it and still move forward."

Today's Mantra:
"I only need strength for today and God will provide it."

You don't need to worry about strength for tomorrow, only for this moment. God will meet you here.

Grief Reflection: Take Your Thoughts Captive

While grieving, don't assume that even the people closest to you automatically know how to support you during this time.

You have to fight to take your thoughts captive. The enemy loves to show up in seasons of grief and convince you that you are unloved, forgotten, isolated, and alone.

Don't suffer in silence. Be honest about what you need. If you need company, say so. If you need a day out of the house, ask. If you need a telephone conversation, reach out.

The people who love you often want to help, but they may not know how.
Your circle is there for you—however you need them.

"We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." — 2 Corinthians 10:5

Grief Caution ⚠️

Grief doesn't always announce its arrival. Sometimes it's a song on the radio. A familiar voice. A scent in the grocery store. A place you pass every day. A memory you weren't expecting. And suddenly, a flood of emotions comes rushing in.

Caution: Emotional triggers may appear without warning. Handle yourself with tenderness today.

For me today, its the hair salon. CeeCee Winans (literally trying to keep it together)

Today, take a deep breath. Rest in His presence. You do not have to carry every burden alone. His grace is sufficient for today, and His mercy is new every morning.

Grief has a way of bringing thoughts, memories, questions, and emotions to the surface. Sometimes the healing begins when we simply give those feelings a place to land.

Take a few moments today to reflect, write, and release. There is no right or wrong way to journal through grief. Be honest. Be gentle with yourself. Let your heart speak.

💚 One sentence at a time.
💚 One memory at a time.
💚 One day at a time.

"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." — Psalm 147:3

Grief & Sleepless Nights

Grief has a way of showing up when the house is quiet and the world has gone to sleep. During the day, responsibilities, conversations, and routines can distract us, but at night the memories often become louder. The empty space, unanswered questions, longing, and tears can make rest feel impossible.

If you are experiencing sleepless nights after loss, know that it is a common part of grief. Your heart is carrying something heavy. Some nights sleep may come easily, and other nights you may find yourself replaying memories, wishing for one more conversation, one more hug, or one more moment.

Give yourself permission to rest without demanding sleep. Sometimes healing begins by simply lying in God's presence, breathing deeply, and allowing Him to hold what you cannot carry alone.
