This 10-foot alligator was captured and removed from Eagle Mountain Lake this morning. Crews from the Texas Parks and Wildlife have relocated it to a protected, more remote location.

Two things I am noticing on several lakes right now

1. Crappie are really relating to bottom in the 13-20 ft range. Trees may come up but the fish are down toward the bottom and hard to see

2. Active fish are in certain areas time and time again. You can catch fish on them, let them rest, then come back and catch more on them. Some places they are just NOT feeding and I don’t know why
