Every year around this time, I get to thinking about walking through the woods on a chilly morning. Jig and bobber tied on a BnM looking for some crappie in the creeks! Don’t get me wrong, I love all types of crappie fishing but finding them in the creeks is up there! Just being out in nature and reading the water and conditions is fun! When you find them in the back of the woods all to yourself, it makes it all worth it!

Celebrating my wife on National Wife Appreciation day! She is the glue that holds this family together and there is NO way I would be where I am without her! Wind is for me the most important factor when guiding IMO. It makes everything more difficult and makes a lot of water too rough to fish! I reschedule more trips due to wind than I do anything else
