⌨️ TITLE: NYY @ TEX: Yankees' 2 HR & Rangers' Walk-off 3-run HR (8/4/25)

⌨️ DESCRIPTION: In this video, you see lots (just about the entire game sped up, LOL) of in-person highlights taken by myself from Game 1/3 of the New York Yankees *(NYY)* vs. Texas Rangers *(TEX)* series at Globe Life Field. The first two games were night games, and the last game of the 3-game series was a day/afternoon game. It went on from Monday, August 4, 2025 – Wednesday, August 6, 2025. My mom, dad, and I are sitting in Section 323, Row 5. We are there to root for/support our New York Yankees. Max Fried was the starting pitcher for New York, and Patrick Corbin was the starting pitcher for Texas.
Fried went 5 innings, giving up 4 runs and 8 hits, striking out 7, and walking 3 batters along the way. Corbin went 3 innings, giving up 3 runs, striking out 3, and walking 3 batters along the way. The Yankees got on the board first, jumping out to an early 3-0 lead. Paul Goldschmidt hit a solo home run on the 3rd pitch thrown to lead off the game! Moving onto the 2nd inning, Ahmed Rosario and Cody Bellinger each had an RBI single, which made it 3-0 NYY. The bottom of the 2nd inning unraveled quickly for Max Fried. He gave up four straight singles to Rangers' hitters. He also had a pickoff throwing error that he committed causing TEX to take a 4-3 lead. The Yankees' 3-0 lead sure didn't last long at all. The Yankees did however take the lead back in the top of the 4th inning when Giancarlo Stanton hit a 2-run HR, making it 5-4 NYY. Moving all the way onto the 9th inning, Yankees closer Devin Williams came in to try and record the save in the bottom of the 9th inning. He got the first out on 4 pitches and then gave up a game-tying solo HR to pinch hitter (PH) Joc Pederson who came into the game with such a low batting average. The game was now tied at 5-5 heading into extra innings. The Yankees were unable to score in the top of the 10th inning which gave the Rangers a huge chance to win it in front of their home fans. NYY reliever Jake Bird came in, Aaron Boone decided to intentionally walk Wyatt Langford, and Josh Jung hit a walk-off *3-RUN HOME RUN* off of him. The Texas Rangers won the game by a final score of 8-5 in 10 innings (F/10).
As a Yankees' fan, I am not happy at all with the team in this 2025 season! Devin Williams has been blowing games left and right, and Aaron Boone is still putting him in tight games. This is insane! *"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result..."* David Bednar should be the closer! Luke Weaver is another great possible option!
The Texas Rangers went on to win the 3-game series 2-1 by winning the second game 2-0 on Tuesday, August 5. They lost the 3rd game to the Yankees 3-2 on Wednesday, August 6.
