August 22nd is National Rainbow Baby Day. 🌈

A rainbow baby is a baby born after pregnancy or infant loss.

They’re called a rainbow because after one of the darkest storms a parent can experience… somehow, color finds its way back into their world.

A rainbow baby doesn’t replace the baby who came before them.

They’re a new beginning after heartbreak.

The pregnancy you were almost afraid to get excited about.

The heartbeat you held your breath waiting to hear.

The milestones you never took for granted.

And finally…

the baby you got to bring home.

Today we celebrate every little rainbow who came after the storm and every mama who found the courage to hope again.

Because a rainbow doesn’t mean the storm never happened.

It means there was still something beautiful waiting on the other side. 🌈
