A client of mine just received this message—but don’t worry, their account is completely safe. Do you know why?
Because this is a scam message!
There are several red flags that give it away, including:
1️⃣ It’s not from Facebook/Meta. Always check the sender.
2️⃣ Inconsistent fonts. Legitimate messages have uniform formatting.
3️⃣ Suspicious email addresses. Scammers often use lookalike domains.
4️⃣ Weird use of symbols, like * at the start of paragraphs.
5️⃣ The accusation doesn’t make sense. This client doesn’t even sell products, so they couldn’t have counterfeit items!
⚠️ If you get a message like this, DO NOT click on any links! Scammers are trying to steal your login, lock you out, and take over your account.
These scams are everywhere, so when (not if) you receive one and aren’t sure, send me a screenshot—I’ll tell you for sure if it’s real or fake.
Stay safe online!
