Horses from across the continent are preparing for the opening round of the National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) Snaffle Bit Futurity. They include Tha Rizzler, who arrives fresh off a victory in the Reno Snaffle Bit Futurity.

Ridden by Nick Dowers, Tha Rizzler earned a massive $60,000 first-place paycheck when he won the Reno Snaffle Bit Futurity Open on Sept. 14. He finished the event with a composite of 659.5 (219 herd/220.5 rein/220 cow).
