A Winter Storm Warning is in effect through Thursday from the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex northward to the Red River. Sleet and ice accumulation will result in hazardous driving conditions. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for much of the remainder of North and Central Texas. A slight chance of freezing rain and sleet before midnight, then a chance of freezing rain between midnight and 1am, then freezing rain and sleet likely after 1 AM. Some thunder is also possible. Cloudy, with a low around 25. North northeast wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New ice accumulation of less than 0.1 of an inch is possible. Little or no sleet accumulation is expected. Winter Strom Warning is in effect through Feb. 24, 6:00 PM.

A Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect Wednesday through Thursday for areas along and northwest of a line from Comanche to Dallas to Paris. A wintry mix of freezing rain and sleet will spread across the region on Wednesday, with another round of wintry weather expected on Thursday.

Here's the latest timing for today's (Wednesday's) severe weather threat. Strong to severe storms will be possible through the afternoon hours ahead of a dryline. Large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes will be possible. Stay weather-aware and have multiple ways to receive warnings!
