One week from today will be the 50 year anniversary of the Ramones first album.
The Ramones' first album is their self-titled debut, "Ramones", released on April 23, 1976, by Sire Records. It is widely considered one of the first and most influential punk rock albums.

Key Details About the Album
Release Date: April 23, 1976.
Recording: Recorded in February 1976 in just seven days at Plaza Sound Studios in New York City for approximately $6,400.
Duration: The album is known for its short, fast-paced songs, running just under 29 minutes for 14 tracks.
Chart Performance: It was not an initial commercial success, peaking at only No. 111 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Cover Art: The iconic black-and-white cover photo was taken by Roberta Bayley and features the band members leaning against a brick wall at CBGB.
Tracklist
"Blitzkrieg Bop"
"Beat on the Brat"
"Judy Is a Punk"
"I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend"
"Chain Saw"
"Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue"
"I Don't Wanna Go Down to the Basement"
"Loudmouth"
"Havana Affair"
"Listen to My Heart"

Impact
Despite low initial sales, the album became a foundational document of punk rock, introducing a raw, high-energy sound that influenced countless bands, including the S*x Pistols and The Clash. In 2012, it was added to the National Recording Registry for being "culturally, historically, and aesthetically significant".

Trent Reznor: The collaborative album, titled Nine Inch Noize, is officially set for release tomorrow, Friday, April 17, 2026. Designated as Halo 38 in the band’s official catalog, the project formalizes the partnership between Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, and the German electronic producer Boys Noize (Alexander Ridha).

Album Details & Tracklist
The 12-track album features re-recorded, electronic-focused reworkings of classic Nine Inch Nails songs, along with a few special covers and soundtrack pieces. The tracklist follows the setlist from their recent Coachella 2026 debut:

Intro (Nine Inch Noize Version)
Vessel (originally from Year Zero)
She’s Gone Away (originally from Not the Actual Events)
Heresy (originally from The Downward Spiral)
Parasite (How to Destroy Angels cover)
Copy of A (originally from Hesitation Marks)
Me I’m Not (originally from Year Zero)
Closer (originally from The Downward Spiral)
The Warning (originally from Year Zero)
Memorabilia (Soft Cell cover)
Came Back Haunted (originally from Hesitation Marks)
As Alive as You Need Me to Be (from the Tron: Ares soundtrack)
Production & Background
Recording Process: Reznor revealed the album was recorded "all over the place," including in professional studios, hotels, and even on planes.

Reznor stated the project was born from a desire to express the band’s music in "more purely electronic terms," a concept inspired by their recent film score collaborations and live B-stage experiments during the Peel It Back Tour.
Collaborators: In addition to Boys Noize, the album features vocals from Reznor’s wife and How to Destroy Angels bandmate, Mariqueen Maandig, on several tracks.
