The devastating event of September 10th and then remembering September 11th have been so heavy on my heart. No other death has impacted me personally like the death of Charlie Kirk. Like many people I would scroll across his videos. I admired his faith. His tenacity to engage with people with opinions other than his own. His bold proclamation of the Gospel of our Lord. Like Martin Luther King Jr, Cassie Bernal (Columbine), Charlie Kirk gave his llife for his beliefs in God, Family and Country. I have been encouraged by those in Christian Music who have had words of encouragement, prayer and reflective of the tragedy. I also have taken note of those who made no mention of our Martyred brothers death. Fear of losing their fan base or maybe they are compromised in their faith and more focused on their career. I make no judgment personally because they know who they are and may God convict them of their Lukewarm heart. So I pray for them too. May their hearts come alive just as Charlie's was. This shooting has been heartbreaking and didn't fully understand why this hit me so hard. I didn't know Charlie, have never met him and didn't follow him close though I knew of him and watched many videos. It his hard because he was a brother killed for his Faith. Not many people know that I grew up in Utah. I found out later that not only did it happen in my home state of Utah. The assassin was also from my home town of St George, Utah (Washington County). To make it more crushing, this coward graduated in 2021 from the same High School that I did. I have lots of questions but they are paled by the fact that Christ works all things for His good. I know many hearts will be won to the Lord. I felt like so many others. Sept 10 was a catalyst for something greater to happen. I did not know what but I knew something spiritually is about to change. Hearing Erika Kirk and others speak the same leads me to believe God is preparing the church for a great move of God and Turning Point USA will be that grassroots launching pad. Pray for them as Erika leads that organization. Promoting anything right now about ReZurrection Radio seems so mundane in light of recent events. All I can say is I hope if anybody listens to our little corner of the radio world , they'd be encouraged and that It can play some small part in what God is doing. Let's pray for the Kirks, Turning Point and young people in America . They need the hope and light of the Gospel. Without it they have no hope. Jesus is that Hope.
