The January issue of Premier is live!
Featured on this month’s cover is Top Gunn. From the moment he hit the ground, Top Gunn looked every bit the part of a future star. The striking 2019 bay stallion by Machine Made out of Ima Potential had both the pedigree and the presence to back his name. Purchased as a weanling by Rusty Green, and now owned by Paul and Marylyn Caliendo's MC's Dragon Ranch, Top Gunn has since carved out a remarkable path, one that bridges his success in the show pen with a promising future in the breeding shed. You can read more about this Congress Champion in our cover story.
You’ll also find a Breeder Spotlight on Alyse Roberts, whose boutique program has built a reputation for producing standout hunter under saddle horses like Blue Kahlua, Helloo Gorgeous, and Maximum Quarantime.
In Meet The Assistant Trainer, you’ll get to know Devon Meshach, whose lifelong passion for horses led her to Ocala, Florida, where she currently works for Katy Jo and Tim Zuidema.
We also sat down with the newly formed Rail Horse Association to learn more about their mission to bring clarity, credibility, and advocacy to the western pleasure and hunter under saddle events.
This issue also introduces a brand new series highlighting the incredible vendors we’re fortunate to have at The Premier, starting with Leah Van Blarcom. Her journey to becoming The Equestrian Chiropractor is one shaped by loss, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to doing right by both horses and the people who love them.
To round out the issue, we asked members of the industry to share their New Year’s resolutions. Their responses offer thoughtful—and sometimes funny—insight into the goals, growth, and intentions guiding the year ahead, both in and out of the show pen.
