After a spooky traffic stop FPD officers were able to seize pounds of candy👻🎃

FPD will have additional uniformed officers out in various neighborhoods during the hours of trick or treating (5:30p-8p) tomorrow for Halloween. The additional police presence is to ensure the safety of all participants but also give officers the opportunity to see all the cool customes and hand out candy. If you see us don’t hesitate to come say hi and get some candy!

Hi everyone,

Meet Chicago native, Officer Artur Freitas of the Fortville Police Department. 🚔🚨

Today I had the privilege of hanging out with Art and other PD members, as we kicked off filming for an upcoming video project. With the collaboration of Fortville Aerials and Fortville PD, we’re proud to represent all of you and our beloved town (hey the roads are almost done!😂)

My aim for this project is to highlight what it means to be Fortville law enforcement, and showcase the commitment and integrity it takes to leave for work everyday, risking their lives to keep Fortville families safe.

I learned a lot in one day, and have many more days to go, but one thing I realized is how most people really only know them as “The Police”, sometimes overlooking that they are still human beings, each with their own wins, losses, and emotions. For this reason, I’m thrilled to share their stories and badass-ery!
