Kinda chic to look at something you worked so hard for and to acknowledge that it just doesn’t fit who you have become anymore.
Once I decide, I’ve decided. I knew I needed a change. I needed to be closer to my family. I needed a new challenge. So I manifested and manufactured a move from the mountains to the plains, Colorado Springs to Amarillo.
I decided Rocky Mountain Food Report had run its course and Wild Table Media was a bigger table, to write about more and say what I need to say.
I wanted to get into the roots of my new city and see how Southern hospitality here ticks. So I took a job as a server at a revered downtown restaurant OHMS Cafe & Bar to get a pulse on downtown, experience the food scene and network.
I want to give you real talk on parenthood, marriage, divorce, carrying the mental load and all the things that many of us might be scared to say out loud because it doesn’t match the picture perfect mold of social media. Also, life hacks, humor & products that I enjoy, make my routine easier.
Many folks are surprised when I tell them that I moved here from CO, but the truth is that our family needed additional support, my family needed my support and my priorities shifted dramatically during my last pregnancy and turning 40. The landscape is different but the upsides, simplicity, convenience and potential have made us feel very at home.
Pull up a chair. No filter, whatever goes. It’s about to get wild up in here.
