I couldn’t be more surprised. I’m honored to have been award the award for “Distant Memories” at the . This is especially an honor given that I’ve always considered myself a director first and writer last. A big thanks to the festival staff for the honor and for screening the film along with many talents from around the world.

I especially have to thank and for believing in the script to create it with me, and to the cast and crew who contributed their talents to make it the best it could be.

It’s going to be quite a busy weekend for . Tonight, “Michael Solace” screens at the , where we are nominated for Best Short Film & Best Screenplay. I will also be taking part in the Actor-Director panel with a number of talents to discuss the craft of directing and working with actors.

Then, on Sunday, “Distant Memories” will screen at the . Very proud of both films and cannot thank all involved enough. While I produce/direct and/or write the films, the crew and cast are the ones who make my job a breeze and make them be the very best they can be. My deepest thanks to them.

This weekend was a whirlwind. I had the pleasure of attending the 5th annual in Sanford, North Carolina where “Michael Solace” screened. The film not only got a solid reception but I was honored to have been awarded the Spring Lane Hall of Fame award which is given to a filmmaker who demonstrates a dedication, commitment, and continuously making new contributions to independent film. The icing on the cake was meeting new and incredible filmmakers from that area and around the world who are amazingly talented.

I must thank the entire cast and crew of the film who made it possible as without them there is no film. They make it possible. I must also thank Jared Campbell and the judges of the festival who recognized our film. It was a blast to attended and cannot recommend it enough.

More festival news to share for “Michael Solace.” I’m pleased to share that we’ve been accepted into the New Bedford Film Festival and the Jersey Shore Film Festival, where we’re being considered an Elite Selection. A huge congrats to everyone involved. This was a fun, but also challenging, film to make but the cast and crew made it possible, and I’m incredibly proud.

The reviews are starting to pour in for the latest short film I directed and co-produced, “Michael Solace.” One of the first to arrive is from the lovely folks at , who have consistently championed my films over the years. I thank Jeana Reilly and her team for reviewing it, and for praising it with a 4/5 star review. I couldn’t be more proud of everyone involved.
