SWEET CAROLINE | It's the first full weekend of August, and that means one thing on Delmarva: The incredible Eastern Shore Threshermen show and market in Caroline County, Maryland. We devoted Saturday to visiting the show and a couple of nearby businesses. (By the way, if you want to go, you've still got a few hours today!)
Topics discussed:
β A wee bit of Caroline County history.
β The different (in a good way!) breed of kids driving tractors all over the place at the Threshermen show.
β The sensation of traveling back in time amongst the working antique steam engines.
β Snagging an old RAR tap handle for $5 bucks.
β Running into Russell A. Taylor III, who took some awesome photos at the event.
β The Amish and Mennonite presence at the show.
β A now-traditional post-show lunch and beers at Denton's legendary Market Street Public House.
β What do you look for in a craft brewery? The good and the bad.
β Checking out Eden Town Brewing Co. for the very first time, and enjoying a pretzel, crab dip, and mind-blowing mustard from the Carolineβs at Eden Town food truck.
