Not only did the team have its best regular season record since 1935 (that’s 90 years), it also received an at-large bid to the 2025 Division II football championships — its first-ever DII football playoffs berth."

Franklin County’s defense was stellar in the second half of Friday’s second-round playoff game with Valley, and FCHS’ Nick Reynolds played a key role. With the Flyers trailing 20-14 at halftime, the FCHS defense held the Vikings scoreless in the second half, and Franklin County won 48-20. Reynolds, an outside linebacker, had 11 tackles with three tackles for loss and two sacks.
