President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukrainian ballistic and anti-ballistic projects face resistance for reasons that go beyond Moscow’s fear.

The reason, he said, is also business and competition. In a field where missile technology means contracts, influence and strategic leverage, not everyone wants Ukraine to become a strong new player.

Ukraine is not only asking others for protection anymore. It is trying to build the systems that can protect itself and eventually change Europe’s defense balance.
