A little backstory on the name What Girls Know Best 🤍

This business actually started long before I ever offered social media services.

When I was younger, my cousins and I decided we were going to start a jewelry business. We came up with the name “What Girls Know Best” and were convinced we were onto something big. It didn’t last long, but the name stuck with me. (and so did one of our original tags!)

Years later (almost two decades!), when I started my social media business, I kept coming back to that name. It felt fun, familiar, and honestly it just fit.

In the beginning, my business worked exclusively with female-owned brands. Boutique owners, creatives, and women building something of their own. The name made even more sense as I stepped into that space and got to support so many incredible women.

What began as a childhood idea turned into something so much bigger than I ever imagined.

Proof that sometimes the smallest ideas stay with you for a reason 🤍

👋🏼 Hi, I’m Kathryn, the face behind What Girls Know Best.

I’ve been working in social media for over 10 years, but it all started my freshman year of college when I competed in a social media marketing competition and unexpectedly took first place at nationals. 🏆 That was the moment I realized this wasn’t just something I enjoyed, it was something I was meant to do.

Since then, I’ve worked in both the small business space and the education world, earning my Master’s in Training and Development along the way. In 2022, I started What Girls Know Best after seeing firsthand how many small business owners needed support with social media but didn’t know where to start. 💕

Now, I get to do this full time. I work with local businesses to build strategies that make sense for them and create content that actually connects. I’ve also stepped into the wedding and event space, helping capture real, behind-the-scenes moments so people can stay present and still have content to look back on.

My goal has always been simple. Make social media feel doable, approachable, and effective! 📱
