Many may have grown up in an atmosphere where biblical womanhood just means being supportive to men. Yet we find many examples in the Bible where women are the ezer kenegdo: “powerful complement”. Women are helpers not merely in the sense that we help men to follow their God-given calling, but that we ourselves are called to be strong, wise and lead as well.

Froswa’ Booker-Drew shares an excerpt from her book, “Front Porch Wisdom”, with the SPLENDEUR family on our website and she dives deeper into this topic. She calls women to embrace their God-given value, lead with confidence, and pass down a legacy of faith and courage.

What if? ✨

In a culture that curates busyness, celebrates hustle, and congratulates hurry, what if we allowed God the space within our schedule to speak to us in the stillness?

Often times we feel pressure to fill every moment and find ways to get ahead. We compare our successes based on our ability to accomplish, and in doing so, we forget to pause and be present.

Psalm 46:10 encourages us to “Be still and know that [He] is God.” These are two actionable items that take effort because, like any intimate relationship, we need to pause and allow God the space to know us and to be known through His Word.

What if this is the whole point and we are missing it because we don’t take the time to slow down?

We recently asked one of our editors what she has been learning about God in her own faith journey. Here is what she said:

“I’m learning what it looks like to live life with God and in Christ. Not just knowing He delights in me—but actually believing it. And delighting in Him, too.”

As she reflected on John 2, she was reminded that God’s desire isn’t empty ritual, but real relationship. Jesus came to clear the way for communion with the Father. He is still doing that in us today.

Let’s return to delight. To presence. To Him. 🤍
