I was honored to talk to Stanley Praimnath this week on the podcast. On September 11th, 2001 at 9:02 am Stanley was in his office on the 81st floor of the World Trade Center’s South Tower when he looked out the window and saw United Flight 175 coming straight towards him. I was honored to have a conversation with Michael Scheuer on this episode of Country Drive. Michael was an intelligence officer at the CIA for 22 years and from 1996-1999 he was Chief of the Bin Laden Issue Station aka “Alec Station.” Michael and his team of dedicated professionals took the Clinton Administration at least 10 opportunities to capture or kill Osama bin Laden well before 9/11/01. Unfortunately the administration chose not to act on any of those opportunities. After 9/11, Michael returned to the Unit as Special Advisor to the Chief of Alec Station from 2001-2004. I enjoyed talking to Freda Scheuer of YBeU Life & Leadership Coaching this week on the podcast! Freda is a decorated intelligence officer who served over three decades at CIA working in counterterrorism. She was chief of the CIA unit charged with destroying al-Qaeda and worked with partners in the United States and globally to identify and hunt down terrorists and thwart their attacks.

Freda retired in 2021 as the Deputy Chief of Operations for Homeland and Strategic Threats at the CIA’s Counterterrorism Mission Center. She is the recipient of the Intelligence Medal of Merit, The Director’s Award, and the Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal.

Freda used her experience leading and mentoring teams—largely comprised of women—at CIA to become a certified life and leadership coach. She started own her business called YBeU Life Coaching for Women where she still loves supporting women to trust their gut, take smart risks,
and make a difference.
