Drove up to Winding Stair Overlook for sunrise, which fo me wasnā€™t far, nor was I too concerned with the tractor trailer sprawled across the viewing area, but there were about 10 other people wanting to catch a great view and hoggy-McHogster had most of the view blocked. SMH

ā€œAlmost Heavenā€ - a friendā€™s comment about this image made it the perfect title for this shot. I hope we see more inversion layers before fall colors come to an end. But if not, I sure did enjoy this particular morning near the Macon/Jackson county line on Cowee Mountain.

Accidents are unfortunately a part of the business of flying drones along rivers. Pesky little branches with no leavesā€¦ šŸ˜ž This morning, I was filming some video for a client along the lower Cullasaja River and sadly, this was the last view I had in my goggles before it hit the water.

Nearly two miles and three and a half hours later of rock climbing and some sketchy situations, no luck recovering my Avata 2. Honestly, I am more upset about losing the footage I had captured, as it was going to be a beautiful video.

Rest in peace little one, you will be missed, but you will be replaced hopefully sooner than later.
