“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; 2 for he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.” Psalm 24:1–2

Last night I was tutoring Biology, we were covering cells. Placing a magnet model of the cell on the whiteboard, we talked about all the organelles of the animal cellI. I shared the importance of understanding that every organelle has a, location, associated with its function.

In creation, God designed everything with purpose even the cells of our body. Different types of cells for every living creature. Each with its own cell structure designed specifically for its ordained purpose.

You and I were formed in our mother’s womb, with a cell structure designed for a specific purpose. I tell my students as they are maturing in life, love God, do what you love and love what you do! Tell yourself, I was made for this” our location in the earth, our association with others and for what we are called to do. So, rest and “do you”.

I just returned from Fall break, and feel refueled and refreshed. In God’s presence there is fullness of joy. And Nehemiah tells us that the joy of the Lord is our strength!”

When we are strong in the Lord and in the power of his might! (Eph. 6:10) We are positioned to help those who may feel weak. When we don’t know what someone else is going through, The Lord does! Let Him use your joy and strength to pull that person through today. 💪🏽

WOW! Last night the Las Vegas Aces became WNBA champions once again! This was their 3rd Championship title! As the world 🌎 watched their journey to the top this year it was as the “Mother’s of the Church” would say: Going up the rough side of the mountain!” 🏔️ There is a blessing in the mountain side being rough…if it weren’t rough you couldn’t grab hold to 🧗🏾‍♀️climb up.
The scriptures tell us, hope deferred makes the heart sick, but…desire fulfilled is like a tree 🌳 of life. Not just growing in stature, but green and flourishing, full of life. As children of God, we can experience fruitfulness of Love Joy and Peace! I witnessed the team testify of their love for one another and joyfully celebrate the fulfilled hope of their journey.

Now they can rest and reflect with the “peace” of God, knowing the hope of this journey has been fulfilled!“

Let us walk in peace, as we reflect on the victories God has given us.

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. (Pr 13:12).

If you knew there was help, would you walk in hope? God planned before time began that we would have help in times of need. We do have help! Even when we walk as though we are hopeless, the Helper who is in us cries out on our behalf, Spirit to Spirit to our Creator! He will speak of our specific needs right on time! Walk in hope today because you do have help!

For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that what is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. Romans 8:24-26

Ooh Wee! Last night, the Las Vegas Aces pulled out a close one with A’ja Wilson hitting a shot with 1 second left on the clock! I jumped up, gave my friend a high five, and said THEY did it!

A’ja closed out the game, but THEY all had to play the game. Even Coach Hammon calling timeout with five seconds on the clock to draw up a play!

I woke up this morning tired but joyful! I pray that this day will be full of grace and favor for each of you. I was reminded of a devotional I shared a while back at an Athletes in Action board meeting, entitled Through it all, we are better together!

I believe just like the Aces had to win the game together, we as children of God must walk, live, and win battles together! We “grow through what we go through”
Let’s learn how to love one another through our journey on this side of Glory!

We are in the third quarter of the year! Let’s focus and finish the year well.

Paul told the church at Galatia:” You were running well, but who has deceived you and kept you from obeying the truth,?” (Gal. 3)
We must walk in discernment of the truth of God’s Word to keep from being deceived. God‘s word is called the truth, and the “Holy Spirit” is called the Spirit of truth, who leads us and guide us into all truth!

God formed mankind out of the dust of the dust of the earth 🌍, but there was no life in the man until God breathed into his nostrils, from His holy existence.
The “Holy Spirit” was now present on earth living in the “human”vessel designed to be His host.

As children of God and citizens of His Kingdom, we are hosting the “Holy” Spirit who will assist us in discerning what “spirits” are not of God. Let’s learn to lean into The Lord and listen for the Holy Spirit’s guidance.

“Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” (1 Jn 4:1)

I woke up with this running through my mind this morning! So I sat still and listened. Then the scriptures started flowing like a river…Jesus said…

“If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him. By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive.”(Jn 7:37-39)

Child of God and citizen of His kingdom, the Holy Spirit is the gift of God we received by grace through faith, who lives in us. Everywhere we go, we have “grace for the place”. Wherever for whatever we are called to do.

Be prayerful and present, you have grace for the place!

“Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.” (Psalm 1:1-2)

This psalm starts out describing what happens to the individual who does not do one thing and chooses another thing!

I believe, if children of God focus on who we are becoming rather than what we should be doing, we will end up being who we were purposed to be in the earth. 🌍

The power of becoming who we are purposed to be is in the “process”. The scripture says: “but his delight is in the law of the Lord.” “But” is a conjunction used to contrast with what has already been mentioned. “Someone walking in an ungodly way”
Psalm 1:1

So let our “but” be to desire to know God, put some discipline into the process (of reading His Word and praying) until it becomes a delight.

Choosing to grow in my delight!

Today is a new day not missed by the Father, and assigned to the Holy Spirit to be with us. The Holy Spirit has a proven record!
Throughout the word of God His presence is Known and Shown.
In Samuel it tells us when Saul was being anointed as king 👑 this took place:
“Then the Spirit of the LORD will rush upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man.” (1 Sam 10:6)

You and I have been anointed with the Holy Spirit to be kings and priests in the earth (Leadersip) Peter tells us We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood and a Holy nation the children of God, called to make a difference in our sphere of influence! I personally needed that kind of “presence” to show up when someone is disrespectful or demeaning.😡😇

The Lord is a very present help in time of need. When in need cry out🗣 but…even when we don’t God knows who to send (The Holy Spirit) and who to send Him through…right on time!

Let Him use you today in that way! Follow His prompt… Be that kind of blessing today! ☺️

1 He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. 32 Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.” (Matthew 13:31–32) Though its seed is so small, a mustard plant grows to a great height (12–15 feet!) in one season, and is a nesting place for the birds of the air.

Jesus, encouraged His disciples to have faith in The God of the Kingdom! Why? Because He is able to do much with the little we give Him. Trust Him today with whatever you have and know that He will do exceedingly abundantly above whatever you ask or could even imagine! Plant that seed of faith today, and “believe” it will outgrow your expectations!!

The Lord knows the end before the beginning that is why the next few verses are written in a purposed order so we can be assured of The ever present authoritative POWER of GOD.

In the day or moment of trouble. He knows when trouble is coming…

Have you ever had someone say to you or you have said yourself: “I’m just waiting for someone to clear the path for me” ☺️ I know I have from time to time.

This morning, I am reminded that I have a God that has already done just that! The parting of the Red Sea depended on and coincided with the children of Israel’s willingness to move forward. The way wasn’t opened to them until they took the first step.

When we are in situations that feel like the point of no return, we must remember that we are not alone. God is there with us. His Word is all we need to see us through. Then it is a “walk of faith” Your steps are ordered of the Lord (Psalm 37:23)
