Celebrating another anniversary of the launch of my YOUTUBE channel. Now, with 5.9 million views and 6,700 subscribers. Thank you, everyone, for watching and sharing my channel and the interesting people, places, events and things on my journey.

Back in 2009, there were few YOUTUBERs or social influencers - no TIKTOK, Snapchat, and before cell phones were watching it on reels like today.

My channel started merely as a way to share my interests, hobbies, and subject matter I enjoyed. And people started watching...and following...and wanting more.

When YOUTUBE approached me to become a YOUTUBE Partner, I thought it was a scam at first. But I realized, OK, they want me in their program as an early adopter.

Years later, I've created and encouraged a lot of other companies and colleagues to launch YOUTUBE channels and share their content. What's still great about YOUTUBE - well, their powerful search engine that offers your content to help others.

The viewers can help shape your content, so open up your comments, let them tell you what they think (it's not always pretty) - and it can help drive your future content. Try not to take it personally, and recognize it's OK not to be perfect or please everyone. Have fun, keep growing, enjoy the lessons of the journey!

Today's my anniversary...13 years since I launched my YOUTUBE channel. I've surpassed 5.5 million views with 6,200 loyal subscribers - thank you all so much for supporting my channel!
Initially, I just wanted to share some maple syrup videos. Within a year, YOUTUBE made me a Partner, as the appetite for online video content was exploding. 13 years later, I've shared millions of views for small businesses, entrepreneurs, non-profits, product reviews, travel, historical, DIY, educational and informational videos.
I've learned that creating good video content on YOUTUBE can still draw thousands of views every month on videos created a decade ago. It's a long-form, SEO strategy that EVERY ORGANIZATION should be investing in, especially with 88% of people watching YOUTUBE videos on a regular basis.

When Linkedin contacted me and asked if I'd participate in an interview about how I create content for social media - I was totally floored. You all know I love this stuff. I just want to say, if Linkedin reaches out to you, they are friendly, professional, and totally legit and follow through in every way.
I also want to restate what I tell so many people - be true to yourself, share your passion - and there's a really good chance that people and opportunities will find you! That is the beauty of how this can all work.

I ended up buying this parka and have been very pleased with it. I've used it for archery and rifle deer. You are right about the slight noise, but the jacket I wore before was also somewhat noisy - so essentially neutral there, but an improvement in warmth, water and wind resistance, pockets, and concealment. Thanks again.

Yes, customers are searching more and more, for content and reviews, prior to making a purchase decision. How many $300 MSRP Parkas has this video sold? Think of the ROI - 5,500 views, 98% like/dislike ratio, positive engagement & comments. Months and months of effective, YOUTUBE/Google searchable sales, right!
