Maybe your biggest problem isn’t what’s ahead of you.

Maybe it’s that you’re still keeping a way back.

We ask God for freedom…

while keeping the chains nearby.

We ask for a new beginning…

while staring at the old chapter.

We say we want to follow Jesus…

but we’re still looking over our shoulder.

Burn the ships.

Not because you’re strong enough to change yourself.

Not because you’ve finally gotten everything right.

But because you’re finally willing to trust Jesus with what’s ahead.
Come as you are.

You’ve prayed.

You’ve cried.

You’ve waited.

And now you’re tired.

Maybe you’ve even told God:

“I’ve given You enough time.”

I understand.

But don’t let a deadline you gave God become the reason you walk away from the God who never walked away from you.

God isn’t intimidated by your frustration.

He isn’t shocked by your questions.

And He hasn’t stopped loving you because you’re tired.

Isaiah 40:31 says:

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength.”

God’s silence is not the same thing as God’s absence.

You may not understand the delay.

You may not see the answer.

But Jesus hasn’t left you.

So breathe.

Take another step.

Give God one more day.

You don’t have to fix yourself before coming to God.

James 4:8 says:

“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.”

That’s an invitation.

Maybe you’ve messed up.

Maybe you’ve walked away.

Maybe you’re carrying shame.

Maybe church hurt you.

Maybe you have more questions than answers.

Come anyway.

You don’t clean yourself up so Jesus will accept you.

You come to Jesus—and let Him meet you right where you are.

No performance.

No pretending.

No condemnation.

Just Jesus.

You thought it was gone forever.

The peace.
The joy.
The dream.
The relationship.
The purpose.
Maybe even your faith.

And honestly?

Sometimes life takes things from us that we don’t know how to get back.

But here’s what I’ve learned:

God’s restoration doesn’t always look like getting the old thing back.

Sometimes He restores your hope.

Sometimes He restores your purpose.

Sometimes He restores your relationship with Him.

Sometimes He takes the pieces you thought were useless and does something beautiful with them.

Don’t confuse “I don’t have it anymore” with “God is finished.”

He’s not finished with you.

And neither is your story.

If somebody in your life needs to hear that today, send this to them.

Lord, let everything standing against me fall.”

Sometimes that prayer isn’t about wanting somebody else to lose.

It’s about asking God to remove what’s keeping you from walking forward.

Let the fear fall.

Let the shame fall.

Let the doubt fall.

Let the lies you’ve believed about yourself fall.

Let the things you’ve been trying to control fall.

And maybe most importantly…

Let the need to fight every battle yourself fall.

Jesus never told you that you had to carry everything alone.

Surrender isn’t weakness. Sometimes surrender is faith.

If this hit you today, save it for the next time you feel like you’re carrying too much.

And send it to somebody who needs the reminder.

I’m not where I want to be…

but I’m not where I used to be.

Read that again.

We spend so much time looking at how far we still have to go that we forget to look back and see how far we’ve already come.

You may still have struggles.

You may still have questions.

You may still be figuring out your faith.

You may not look anything like the “perfect Christian” you thought you were supposed to become.

Good.

Because following Jesus isn’t about performing perfection.

It’s about walking with Him.

One step at a time.

So give yourself some grace today.

Look back.

Remember who you were.

Then thank Jesus that you’re not that person anymore.

Progress is still progress—even when it doesn’t feel dramatic.

Send this to somebody who needs to hear it today.

And if you’re trying to follow Jesus without all the religious baggage, stick around. You’re in the right place.

Your worst mistake is not your identity.

Read that again.

You may have messed up.

You may have hurt people.

You may have made decisions you desperately wish you could undo.

You may still carry shame from things that happened years ago.

But here’s what I want you to understand:

Your past does not determine your worth to Jesus.

Jesus isn’t standing over you with a list of everything you’ve ever done saying, “Let’s see if you’re finally good enough.”

That’s religion talking.

Grace says something completely different.

Jesus knows the whole story.

And He still came for you.

You don’t have to hide your past from Him.

You don’t have to clean yourself up before you come to Him.

And you don’t have to spend the rest of your life punishing yourself for something He has already forgiven.

Your past can become part of your testimony without becoming your identity.

Your failures don’t get the final word. Jesus does.

If this hit somewhere deep, save it for the day you need the reminder—and share it with someone who’s carrying shame they were never meant to carry alone.
