The Champions of Preservation

This week, the boards of Franklin's Charge and The Battle of Franklin Trust honored Roderick “Rod” and Kay Heller for their persistent influence on historic preservation at both the local and national levels. This influential couple is known locally for their contribution to the protection of more than 100 acres of the Battle of Franklin’s Eastern Flank. In addition to this land, they purchased Windermere, a home that was part of the Eastern Flank.

To honor the Windermere property and the Hellers, the Battle of Franklin Trust and Franklin’s Charge will be installing a historic sign near Windermere. To top off this wonderful news, the couple was gifted a painting by local artist Kelly Harwood of Windermere’s beautiful back porch.

Today, we honor the memory of those we lost 24 years ago.

September 11th changed our nation forever, yet it also revealed our strength, resilience, and the unbreakable bond that carries us through even the darkest times.

YOUR Williamson and YOUR Community Media stand against hate; we stand against violence. We grieve with our nation for a fellow American; father, husband, witness to God's word. May God's peace be with Charlie Kirk and his family and with our nation.

Thrive in 2025 - A Women’s Leadership Conference hosted by Williamson, Inc.

Today, members of the YOUR Williamson team pressed pause to join with hundreds of other women for a day of professional development - an investment both in ‘self’ and in their businesses.

The “Thrive in 2025” conference focused on “Boundaries, Balance and Bold Decisions.” The day consisted of workshops and an amazing keynote luncheon panel focused on leading with intention.

Questions posed throughout the day included:
How do you decide when to say ‘yes’ and when to say ‘no’?
How do you define ‘balance’?
How do you ‘show up’ in a room?

What a great day reconnecting with and meeting new businesswomen in our Williamson County community.
