This past February, Franklinton Primary School Principal Kayla Sabel wrote and was awarded a grant for a Little Free Library for the school. It has now been installed and stocked. Franklinton Primary was one of only 200 schools chosen out of more than 800 applications to receive the little library which is a book-sharing box in celebration of the 200,000th Little Free Library worldwide.

The Bowling Green Buccaneers' 2025 football season came to an end with a hard-fought defeat. Traveling from Franklinton all the way to Rossville, Tennessee, the Buccaneers fell in the MAIS Class 3A Division II quarterfinals to the Rossville Academy Wolves, 49-7.
