We are extremely excited to announce the September 12th release of Wild Aster's debut album! Wild Aster consists of Maryland-based musicians Dominica Knapp, .haberman, and Michael J. Stone. This album is the culmination of months of hard work in the studio and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The album features some terrific somewriting from Dominica and Casey, strong instrumental work from all three members, and some of the best vocals we've had the pleasure of producing. Waiting for Lester Records is proud to announce the release of "High and Lonesome", a new single from Nate Clendenen and the Clendenen Brothers! This song was written by Nate and is a terrific play on words! Here's what Nate has to say:

"This tune started as a somewhat tongue in cheek take on the traditional bluegrass aesthetic of the "High Lonesome Sound." I set out to write a traditionally-minded bluegrass song, but with my own particular version of high and lonesome. Based on what was going on at the time, I was certainly lonesome. But with my baritone voice… I had to go for a different kind of “high.” Yes, it’s what you’re thinking. A humorous double entendre to lighten up yet another age-old story of love gained and lost to a life on the road. What stumbled out of my mind and fingertips… was “High and Lonesome!”

We're proud to announce the release of a new album from Jason Hannan (yeah...me). It's a bunch of duets with my friends! Hey folks! We're gonna start spotlighting some of the past albums we've released on the label over the years. Here's a good one to start with: Cheater's Waltz (2021) by Michelle Hannan, Jason Hannan, and Howard Parker.

Cheater's Waltz was a concept album that featured original songs by Michelle, Jason, & Howard, and tells the story of a woman who finds love, is betrayed, and commits an unspeakable crime. The story winds through a combination of songs designed or selected to tell a story; or to stand on their own as individual tracks.

The album found critical acclaim and received quite a bit of radio airplay in the independent country world...and even some from mainstream country stations.
