BRUH pls never let me try to set up a new phone again.
It started with thinking I knew what I was doing, right?
WRONGSIREE.
I backed everything up yesterday, but didn’t realize that all the contacts I’ve added since 2016 and my calendars were uh associated with a work email account that i definitely do not have access to anymore instead of my iCloud.
So I transferred everything over, including cellular, before I realized this. After multiple attempts to sync (including old texts from my dead mom 😭) didn’t work, I decided to reset and start over.
BUT YALL I FORGOT TO MOVE THE CELLULAR BACK TO MY OLD PHONE.
So I accidentally deleted my eSIM and was sending texts from an email associated with my EX HUSBANDS LAST NAME.
THEN once the resynced everything over, I had to manually airdrop 187 contacts (jk it was less bc some people just didn’t make the cut) to my new phone.
Now to manually add all my calendar appts and figure out how to pair my watch to my new phone, bc oh yeah, that won’t work either.
This doesn’t include me posting and saving all my TT and Edits drafts bc those also didn’t transfer. WTF
NEVER GETTING A NEW PHONE AGAIN (until this one decides to slow down and I get an impulse like I did this time)
